报告人简介：

Dr. Nasr A. M. Hafz is an experimental physicist working on high intensity laser physics and its applications. The group of Dr. Hafz at SJTU is currently working on various laser-plasma acceleration topics such as the electron injection, ultra-short electron beam diagnostics and experimental electrodynamics, including the Bremesstrahlung and synchrotron radiations, Thomson scattering, positron generation etc. Dr. Hafz has more than 55 peer-reviewed journal articles including papers in Nature Photonics, PNAS, Scientific Reports, Physical Review, Applied Physics letters, Optics Express and Science. He has more than 100 published conference proceedings and has given about 40 invited talks and lectures in international conferences and universities.  Dr. N. Hafz received his B.Sc. degree (Physics) in 1991 from Ain Shams University in Cairo, Egypt. He received his Ph.D. degree in Engineering (in 2001) from the University of Tokyo, Japan. Since March 2011 he has been a tenure-track faculty member at the Department of Physics and Astronomy, Shanghai Jiao Tong University (SJTU).
