报告人简介：

William (Bill) S. Price received his B.Sc., Ph.D. and D.Sc. degrees  from the University of Sydney in 1986, 1990, and 2012, respectively.  After postdoctoral study at the Institute of Atomic and Molecular  Science in Taipei, Taiwan and the National Institute of Material and  Chemical Research in Tsukuba, Japan he joined the Water Research  Institute in Tsukuba, Japan in 1995. In 2000 he spent a year at the  Royal Institute of Technology (KTH). In 2001 he returned to Japan as  Professor of Chemistry at Tokyo Metropolitan University. At the end of  2003 he returned to Australia as Professor of Nanotechnology at the  University of Western Sydney.

He is Editor-in-Chief of the (UK) Royal Society of Chemistry’s “New  Developments in NMR” book series. He is a Fellow of the Royal Society of  Chemistry (RSC), the Royal Australian Chemical Institute (RACI) and the  Australian Institute of Physics (AIP).

报告摘要 ：

NMR diffusion measurements are now commonly combined with imaging  measurements to give localised diffusion information (i.e., diffusion  MRI). Recent methodological and theoretical improvements continue to  expand the areas of application as well as providing increased precision  and accuracy in established areas. This talk will cover some recent  developments and applications from our group including resolving isomers  in NMR diffusion measurements through the use of mixed solvent systems  and new experiments and analysis for probing porous media using  diffusion measurements.
